DWR-930M Security Repair File
Method:
Restoring the IMEI on a D-Link DWR-930M Router
Flashing incorrect or incompatible firmware can sometimes corrupt the device's security partition, leading to a null or invalid IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity), often appearing as 00000 or a similar generic string. This will prevent the device from connecting to any mobile network.
This guide provides a step-by-step process to repair the IMEI using a specialized security repair tool.

Prerequisites
Before you begin, ensure you have the following:
The D-Link DWR-930M device.
The device's original 15-digit IMEI number. You can find this on the original box or on a sticker inside the device, usually under the battery.
A Windows PC 💻.
A micro-USB cable to connect the router to your PC.
The necessary drivers for your D-Link device installed on your PC.
The specific IMEI security repair tool for your device's chipset.
Step-by-Step Repair Process
Follow these instructions carefully to restore your device's original IMEI.
1. Connect and Identify the COM Port
Power on your DWR-930M router and connect it to your PC using the USB cable.
Right-click the Start Menu on Windows and select Device Manager.
In Device Manager, expand the Ports (COM & LPT) section.
You should see one or two new ports listed that correspond to your D-Link device (e.g., "AT SPRD" or a similar name).
Note the COM number next to the port (e.g., COM3, COM4, etc.). This is the port number you will need.

The tool will process the command. After a few moments, it should display a confirmation message like "Done" or "Success."
3. Finalize and Verify
To complete the process, you must reboot the device and check if the repair was successful.
Once the tool confirms the process is done, disconnect the router from your PC.
Restart the device by turning it off and on again. For a more thorough reset, log in to the device's web administration page (usually at 192.168.0.1 ) and use the Reboot or Restart option from the system settings.
After the router has rebooted, log back into the web administration page and navigate to the Status or Device Information page.
Verify that your original IMEI number is now displayed correctly.
Your D-Link DWR-930M should now be able to register on a mobile network successfully. ✅
